I have a 1989 88HP Johnson that runs fine at idle and low speed. When I give it gas, it runs great fow a few minutes, then it bogs down and stalls. If I play with the throttle when it starts to bog down, sometimes I can prevent it from stalling, but not all the time. It always starts right up immediately after it stalls.

The motor can be hard starting when cold.

I have changed the plugs and wires, De-Carbed the engine, and made sure the gas mixture is 50 to 1.
I thought the choke linkage might have come loose, but it looks OK.

Any help would be very much appreciated. This is my first boat, and I only was able to get it running enough to put it in the water this past weekend!
