Johnson lower unit compatibility

Welcome to iboats.<br /><br />I'm not certain of the answer, so hopefully somebody that is will email you.<br /><br />If the motors have the same number of cylinders, I think they'd swap. If the 50 is a twin and the 60 is a triple, then no. Unfortunately I don't have any parts books at my disposal right now.

Looks like they will. Both 2 cylinder motors, both shift in the same direction, appears the splines are the same and both have the O ring on the driveshaft.
