I learned a very expensive lesson chasing a mid to high rpm miss,And thought I'd share it. Engine ran ok up to 3500 then fell on its face. Dealer checked out carbs (twice) couldn't figure it out and basically abandoned me. Thinking there can't be anything wrong with carbs I tried, coils. cdi boxes, stator, timer base, wiring etc.... Finally I wised up and tore apart the carbs, 5 of the 6 had verticle cracks in the venturi tubes, causing it to suck air and basically run out of gas.By luck I had spare carb bodies (tubes not sold seperatley) new bodies $95 ea. Ran great!! Anyone know if you could replace these with stainless tube ?? Just a thought. Sorry this got long, but hope I can save someone else some grief and lost fishing time.

Those tube are replaceable. We've done it many times.

What kind of fuel do you run?

Where do you get them, my dealer said they are not available, but he's also the one who missed them after being in the carbs twice.

You will have to get the dealer to call in the actual carb number (not the part number). OMC used to allow certain dealers to get the tubes. There are, if I remember correctly, 3 different ones. Might be more now.

Its worth a shot to see if BRP will do the same.
