Hello All!
I recently had the above attached to a old Cobia fall into my lap. The ram for the tilt seems to be bent (the actual rod for the ram) I assume its not supposed to be that way : ) so two questions come to mind:
1. How is removal accomplished?
2. Where can I find a replacment?

FYI the engine runs FANTASTIC, I was compltly surprised by how smooth and responsive it was. I expected a true dog to be honest given it's age. But I must say that I was pleasantly surprised!

The easy way out would be to find a used replacement. We are not to offer item's for sale on this board, but I have one lying around that I have stumbled over long enough.

Re: 1973? JOHNSON 85hp (85esl73m Tilt Ram

Does anyone have any experience with replacing one of these rams? I have managed to remove the lower pin, with not too much of a hassle, but the upper pin has me stumped at this point. The upper pin can only be removed by being pushed out from the inside, but due to 30 years worth of corrosion, its pretty content to stay right where it is. It is very difficult to get a drift pin on it given its location, to tap it out.
