Re: spark plugs

Try your local NAPA store. They have a good selection on hand of many marine plugs.

Re: spark plugs

Welcome!!

It's L77JC4. Or you can use the QL77JC4. Wal/K-Mart's usually have them or any marine dealer.

Re: spark plugs

A QL77JC4 works also and is better for 1978 to 1993 70hp engines due to the ignition system. Gap to .030".

Re: spark plugs

Auto Zone carries them down here. The other number is 821-1 I believe. About $1.69 apiece

Re: spark plugs

Feedin' that walmart eatin' machine again.....

EDIT: I can't help but say this: If the people keep unloading money at walmart for boat pieces (plugs, oil, life jackets, etc.) who's gonna be left to do major maintenance when ya need it??? Walmart?
I think not.
As someone said in another thread, "Is Walmart gonna replace your water pump impellor too when the ma and pa dealerships are gone?"
Think about this people.

EDIT #2: use only Champion plugs in the JohnRudes or Dhadley will be having to fix you up with new pistons......

Re: spark plugs

Edit #1 No way I'm gonna pay $7 a plug at a dealer when Wal Mart has them for under $2.
I don't care if the dealer does go out of business.

Re: spark plugs

We sell the QL77JC4's for 3.65 right on the water at the second largest Marina on Texoma.
If dealers are pushing those at 7-8 bucks, I see the point...MY point is the next time your boat goes in the shop and lets say, the conversation comes up that "we" should change your plugs beings it's the end of the year, and you say, "oh, I just put those in...Got'em at walmart." I hope they tell ya to go get it fixed at walmart too.
The days of dedication to a dealer in the business to make a livin' are gone..But keep it up, when more and more close the doors, that 200 mile drive to get what you need will be getting what you paid for in the begining, only 10 times the cost.
