FIRST! Thanks to all that help!<br />I have a 2000 225HO that will not idle, plane off, or generally run! Sometimes it will rev-up freely and run ok sitting in the driveway..(no load) ..it maintains 30+ water pressure. I have cleaned the carbs,(totally disassembly -all passages flow air/gas,needles aren't sticking,all jets removed and cleaned,all air and air screw passages are clean,all gaskets are good.)I installed 6 new QL78YC, (twice),, tried with/without the air box. Replaced the fuel filter and bulb. Fuel is water free amd flows freely to and through carb bowls. Compression is 108lb to 115lb with carbs open. The tops of all pistons are still clean and you can see the "machine marks" in the tops also. No signs of any damage to the top of any piston. This problem manifested itself over about 3 fishing trips.. started running rougher and rougher. I did find some water and trash in the tank and fuel filter. I drained the tank, flushed with alcohol and acetone to remove the residue - then let it dry with an air hose running into and through it at about 30 psi for about 10hrs. The bulb was out of the fuel line during this time. The new fuel filter is slightly larger and see thru..no foreign material or water is in the new filter! I have always used Pennzoil 100% synthetic outboard oil. I use 89 Octane Amoco or Chevron only. <br />Help... please... <br /><br /> I also need some porting specs for this engine. <br />I also need a source for hi-performance parts.<br />Thanks again!!
