Need 3.3 Sportwin Year ID

I just picked up a Evinrude Sportwin, and need to ID the year of manufacture. I used the Ken Cook Co page to find out it is a 3.3hp and it was made from 1947-51, but I would like to narrow that down a little more. The numbers are 4423 87044, if that helps. Otherwise, if someone can tell me if there were some unique features for each of the years in my range, I can check the motor for those. Thanks a bunch for your help.

All model 4423 Sportwins are the same for all practical purposes, Chris. <br /><br />For the first few years after the war all resources were focused on manufacturing. When OMC made engineering changes they changed model numbers.<br /><br />Good luck.
