3HP Evinrude Manual?

Hello, I have a 3HP evinrude outboard motor and I was wondering where I could purchase an OPERATOR/OWNERS MANUAL for this motor. I have found several service manuals, but none that actually cover the operation of this motor.<br /><br />Maybe somebody can just give me a quick 101. There are a couple of knobs that I have no idea what they do and there is also a large lever.<br /><br /><br />HELP!!!!<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Dan

I don't know the motor as well as most of the guys here. A year and model number may help shed a little light. One of the knobs is probably a low speed idle adjustment, the large lever is your shift control, forward, neutral, reverse. Hope that helps

Parts, factory service and owners/operator manuals for pre '96 OMC outboards can be purchased from one of the following places:<br />TheOutboardWizard<br />Mastertech<br />Marine Engine<br />Ken Cook <br /><br />Like stl said, we're going to need a model number to be able to tell you how those knobs work. It should be on the nameplate on the transom clamp and perhaps on a silver disc around the spark plug end of the engine, on the block itself.<br />Welcome to Iboats!
