model # ve90tle9b<br />serial # r08524328<br />not sure about the 9 in the model number it was hard to see.<br />it is a 90 hp evinrude with vro<br />color of the motor is dark gray or black with light gray and red stripes<br />thanks for any help

Unfortunately, that 9 is the important digit:<br />V - Made for a particular boat builder (some special decals, paint, etc)<br />E - Evinrude<br />90 - 90 hp<br />T - Tilt&Trim<br />L - Longshaft (fits a 20" transom)<br />E9 - 199?<br />B - meaninless model run code.<br /><br />They year code works like this:<br />INTRODUCES<br />1234567890<br />So CS would be a 1980 outboard since C=8 and S=0. That 9 could be an R, making it a 1994, or perhaps an E making it a 1999.<br /><br />Hope this helps!
