Type of oil for 4 stroke

Is there really any difference between actual outboard synthetic blend and auto synthetic blend? Can you use the auto blend with these motors?

Use the type of oil recommend by the manufacturer

OK.That's the safe answer BUT, is there really a difference? Weight would be the same and viscosity I would think is the same. Would there really be anny problems?

Check last March's issue of Trailer Boats Magazine for their testing and recommendation on 4-stroke outboard oils.

Wy, it's the API rating that counts on 4 cycle oils
