Boat started fine and was running around 3,000 rpm and the motor suddenly stopped running. Tried to start immediately and did not seem like there was any spark at all. After 3-5 minutes motor started and ran well enough to get to a fishing spot. The problem happened about 4 or 5 more times. Sometimes after it died it would start right away, other times, it needed to sit for a few minutes. Seemed like it would only die within the first few minutes of running 2,500-3,000rpm after the engine ran a while seemed to be fine. <br /><br />Carbs have recently been cleaned/rebuilt. Seems like an electrical problem to me. What are the odds it is a power pack problem??<br /><br />Appreciate any help!!!
<br /><br />Sounds like a hot failure in the ignition system. See what happens if you run her with the bonnet off.<br /><br />Most likely suspects are powerpack and stator.<br /><br />Good luck.
