Sorry, Mike, I meant all the way closed. Close the throttle all the way. There is a 'kill' wire that kills the ignition by grounding it - so first try spinning it with that wire disconnected from the pack. That'll rule out a bad control box, keyswitch, etc..<br /><br />Still no spark? OK the procedure to test your powerpack is basically to rule everything else out. You can check the resistance of the charge coil and the sensor coil, & you might get lucky right there. However, beyond that you need to measure the pulse that the stator puts out, and the pulse that the sensor in the timer base puts out. To measure those pulses, you need a peak-reading voltmeter, or an oscilloscope. A regular voltmeter won't do it.
