I have a steering unit that will not move. Seems that the ram rod is seized up. Does anyone have a diagram for this or know how to disassemble the unit?

Thanks

I believe it is the hyd. unit? Just one cable from steering wheel unit to motor. Don't know anything about these steering units.

Anyone help here. From what I seen in a diagram, I should be able to loosen the bolt on the cable and pull the whole rod out with cable. Is this correct??

first thing remove the bolt conncting the steering rod to the motor then see if the motor turns then there should be a large nut on the tilt tube that keeps the steering rod secured to the tilt tube back it all the way off. then using a block of wood and a hammer drive the rod back through the tilt ube.spray penatrating oil on the rod and in to the tube, also there should begrease zerks on the tilt tube in the front, pump some grese in there too.the tilt tubes get dried out anddepending on the area can rust up.
