1984 Johnson 115 v4

I was having trouble with it jumping. I was told it probley was the clutch dog and to turn it around. I did but now the linkage is off so now I have been told that the linkage rod needs to be set to a sertain hight.. can anyone tell me what that hight is . Bexcause now i beleve that might be part of the problem thanks.......

Welcome Laken<br /><br />I would not mess with the gearcase or the linkages without an OMC shop manual - hint-hint.

Laken!<br /><br />Seloc manual says to set shift rod height to center of hole from top of lower unit at 21.840 inches.<br /><br />Without a manual its sorta tuff to do. Pictures are worth a thousand words.<br /><br />More power to ya!
