I have a wierd issue with my t&t. When I bought the boat the switch on the controls (single lever hidden type) did not work. I added a switch on my dash for the t&t and it worked fine. Now the red wire in the harness leading to the switch only reads 3.5 volts and no longer works the trim. I do have 12 volts in that wire outside of the cowl but not at the dash. Any ideas? Should I just run a new wire? Could a poor connection in the relay box be causing voltage drop? It's strange that it reads 12v in the harness in the splashwell area but 3.5v 10 feet away. Thanks, John

BTW the t/t switch on the lower cover still works fine.

Check your connection at the relay box and new switch John. Yes, poor connections can cause low voltage. Make sure the connections are clean and tight.
