Help!!! Do I Have A Water Pump Problem

Does the 1970 Johnson 20 horse have a tell tale hole? Were does the water discharge from this engine? I'm worried I'll overheat my motor if I take it out and it's not pumping. My knowledge of outboards is limited, but, I thought there should be a visible discharge when the prop is turning. I havent' put her in the river yet, but, I don't see a discharge above water while running her in a tub on land.<br /><br />Thanks
