Old Sea Horse Johnson Identification

Sea Horse<br />Waukegan Ill<br />Model # MS 89 (the 8 and 9 are best guess numbers)<br />Ser # 422429<br />Must be ~ 50 yrs old - am told it is 1.5 hp.<br />Can anyone help identify this motor?

MS-39 uses a Champion J8C plug, gapped at .030"<br />Set points at .020"<br /><br />Fuel mix is 24:1, 87 octane unleaded and TC-W3 rated outboard oil.<br /><br />Good luck.
