Johnson & Evenrude parts list and break down, is there one online ??

Is there a Johnson/Evinrude parts list on line with diagrams. Yamaha has a great one that goes back to 1984, need the same for above.<br /><br />I have some engines I want to part out and need to know what parts will fit were like a lower unit and more. And if I can make one engine out of two different ones.

That is what I was looking for, not quite as easy to use as Yamaha but the informatin is there with a lot of key stokes. Okay first issue solved! Now ......<br /><br />Is there a way to take a part number and find all the engines & years it will fit. Example: I have a lower unit for a 1985 Evinrude 9.9, what engines & years will it fit? Need to do some sort of reverse look up, any ideas?

At the same site as above, there are two picklists, one for Johnson, Evinrude, etc, and a second one to the right of it. <br /><br />Pick "advanced" on the second pick list. <br /><br />Enter "gearcase" and your motor's model number. <br /><br />After you get the "gearcase assembly" part number, enter just the part number and you can list the models that it will fit.<br /> <br />Good luck.

Is there a site like this that goes back further than 1968, I have a 1966 (3HP need a recoil spring.

The 1965 3HP used a starter spring part # 307573.

The dealer is most likely correct, The parts are the same, just re-numbered for later models. <br /><br />I gave you the exact number from the 1965 OMC parts manual. That number is on the Bombardier parts list for motors like the 1976 35HP and is still listed. The 395460 looks like the same part to me.<br /><br />BTW: You should not jump threads on sites. It drives everyone else nuts.
