1953/54 model.Fuel/oil mix ratio is 24:1.Recommended sparkplugs are Champion J6C gapped at .030"

Scatty, fantastic motor, i have a '55 15hp rude i use atleast every 2 weeks. starts 1st2nd pull every time. paid $300 without a tank. when i was a kid, i had a '50 15hp my dad pitched it when the foot froze up, and i was away at college. they are unkillable if you love it and care for it.

Got it ($40) from a fanatic Merc friend that doesn't like his motors in his shop from getting in fights with the OMC guys. Weak spark one plug, gave me a new coil, so I'll get this puppy working again. Thanks for the info guys, ya'all be the greatest!

Thanks. I've had a 57 Johnson 18 down to the crank...pretty simple motors. Built tough though!
