I just put a new impeller in yesterday attached<br />the water hose and started it up.Seems ok,but can someone tell me how many exit spots does a 1989 evinrude 90 have?I know there is one just under the engine cover on the right side. Are there anymore like down on the lower foot.If not there may be a small hole and about a two foot stream of water shooting out down there.Any info would be great.

Re: Cooling ?

Water should exit the telltale hose, the relief holes on the mid section in the rear of the lower unit and through the propeller exhaust...

Re: Cooling ?

Most engines have one or more drain holes on the lower unit to drain water out of the mid section when out of the water. It is important that these remain clear (they can get clogged) especially in cold climates where freezing is possible.
