Re: vro pump

Welcome aboard roxydog!

Is there a particular reason you want to disconnect the oil end of the pump? Curious.

All you need to do is cap the oil nipple at the lower pan. Disconnect the rubber connector from the pump to the engine harness and also the harnes from the oil reservoir. Premix 50:1 in the fuel tank.

Re: vro pump

This motor is new to me. Has not been run in 2 yrs. Prev. owner said it would not start. I took the cowl off and there was alot of oil in the and around the motor. I did the usual replace the fuel, fuel line, filter and she fired up . But there is way way way to much smoke. just want to plug it up and see how it runs on premix. I am not a mechanic just know enough to get in trouble. Thanxs for the help!

Re: vro pump

Here's a little more info in addition to OBJ's recommended procedure. Odds are it would smoke alot if it has not been run in 2 years. The oil tank would also have to be serviced if you decide to keep it:

web page
