Hi, I have a Evinrude 110 hp v4 vro Model E110TLCPC / J1127369 that wont charge the battery. My guess is I should start by checking the a/c output of the stator. Then check the rectifer. My question is the color of the a/c stator wires and the voltage readings or the ohm values it should have. Oh do I need a special flywheel puller to pull the flywheel in the event of a bad stator?

Thanks in advance for any help I can get. Pat

Hey Pat! The model number "E110TLCPC" is not exactly correct. The "P" is in question. Could that be a "D"? That would make it an 86'.

I guess my next question would be, why don't ya' think the system isn't charging the battery? Is the tach working OK?

OBJ, Thanks for the reply!

I have a 60 amp dc inline amp meter that I am going to use to test the output Monday. I would guess this system only puts out 10 amps max at full throtle which wouldn't change the voltage much on a full size battery. I am a moble auto mechanic and forgot to use a amp meter instead of a volt meter.

Hey OBJ, or any one else,

I found out the tach is Not working. 0 amps coming out of the red wire from the rectifer. 16 to 18 ac volts from the yellow alternator wires when they are not attached to the rectifer. Please let me know what you think. I think ( but I dont know )that the rectifer, that is a flat box located just under the flyweel, could be at fault. Before I $$ buy one, is there any test you would recomend me to run. Thank's Pat F.
