look for a plate on the transom mount. a 300<br />should be a 30hp?

Many thanks to Mellow Yellow and Trent. I found the model / serial number real close to where you said it would be. It's a Model M S/N 1275520. Now the real fun begins :>) what have I got ??<br />Thanks again<br />Handyman

Thanks Backlash ! You guys are fast with your answers , this is great . Now I've been looking for a manual for this and don't see anything listed beyond about 1964. (thefirst year they made outboards , right ? lol ). Any suggestions ?<br />The prop on the engine looks like a real misfit too , so I'll be looking for what's right for it.
