Hi Salty,
The KD4 Rockets are decent motors, but a couple things to look for. Are the "bra cup" spark plug covers present? Is the carburetor shroud present? These are the commonly missing parts. I've seen similar model motors with $50.00 prices at swap meets go unsold. There's quite a few around so most collectors know that if they pass on the pricey one, a cheaper one will turn up. If it has all the parts, I'd offer $50-$75...
- Scott

Chinewalker, thanks for the info, all parts mentioned are present, but if that is all it is worth then I will not bother making an offer, thanks for your info, helped alot

Richard

Hi Salty,
Something that vintage is in that gray area between modern and classic. In good tune it's worth more to someone wanting inexpensive power than it is to a collector. If it's a freshwater motor, runs good and has a tank to go with it, you'd probably get $300-$400 in my area come April/May...
- Scott
