Last week when on vacation I used my 15 hp Mercury pretty much every day.<br /><br />The Merc is rigged with remote throttle and steering.<br />One day after over two hours use I beached the boat for about 1/2 hour. When I went to start it up the motor fired on the first pull, then quit a few secants later. I pull the cord again, same thing......runs and stalls.<br /><br />I then moved the control to about 1/4 throttle, and pulled a 3ed time. The motor then started and revved high, I moved the throttle back down and drove home.<br /><br />The next afternoon the motor did the same thing, it has every time since I've tried to start it. I guess its not a problem I just rev it and it go's fine, but I know its not normal.<br /><br />What has caused this to happen?<br />Is this something that should be fixed, or should I just live with it?<br /><br />Thanks for the help,<br />Ryan
Not worth fixing.<br />Anyone who is intersted, the boats in Wells Maine.<br /><br />Back to my 15hp Mercury,<br />last night I started it in the back yard for a freshwater flush, started and did not stall, so I don't know what the hells up with the thing now.
