winter fishing?

i have a 83 150hp merc.i like to fish all year round. i had a building i kept my boat in in the winter after each trip.now i have moved and hve not built another building.my question is what should i do to keep from harming my motor each time i fish this winter?(FREEZING)

hello<br /> as far as just the motor and no hull issues goes just come home trim trim the engine all the way down. pull the stop lanyard and crank the engine for a few revolutions to clear the water from the pump. leave the motor trimmed down. in the down position if nothing is clogged an outboard will drain itself. just dont forget it for 5 months thinking you may use it.<br /> Good luck and keep us posted

I agree with rod bolt or if it makes you feel better get you a five gallon jug and put you a eater connection on the lid and hook short water hose up to it and then hook to your muffs and run a little antifreeze mix tru it
