Hi all: I have an 86 in-line 6 90 HP Merc. I recently purchase this 86 Procraft. The motor sat up for 1 1/2, but prior to it's last use was tuned up at a dealership where all cylinders were hitting at 130+. I've had it on the water several times and the motor starts up like a new engine and idles smoothly, but will choke at WOT and due to no speedometer, but not go above 30 on Tac. I have replaced all plugs with NGK's and took out the autoblend and emptied tank so all fuel/oil is new and mixed 50-1. The prime bulb is new also. I have recently taken the carbs off and discovered that the floats are cracked and had fuel inside 2 of the them, making them heavier I guess. I cleaned them thoroughly and am about to put them back on. Will this fix my problem and give me max throttle or do I need to look elsewhere. I have searched this forum which is the reason I removed carbs. Good thing I did I guess. I just hope that will fix it. Any help would be appreciated.
