mercury 40 hp sea water cooling failure

hi i have a mercury 40 hp outboard may 2003 make.<br />model no- 7041217MF<br />serial no- 0T796245<br />the engine suddenly developed sea water cooling failure. there is no water coming out from behind the engine and it gives alarm when warmed up.<br />i had opened the lower portion of outboard bur there is no blockage. what should i do<br />waiting for ur suggestion to get me out of this tricky situation<br />sharad

the "kit" is only the impeller and a gasket for<br />the pump housing. did new impeller fix problem?
