help with trim motor

my trim motor on my '86 90hp merc is only working going down, nothing when switch up. The motor is now down and when I turned the override screw to override the hydraulic, the screw sheered off. what the heck can i do now to get it up ??

Jim,my guess is a bad trim solenoid.Your motor has three of them.All have red and black wires .Two also have the trim wires you need to jump.One has a green wire for down,the other has a blue wire for up.The solenoid with the blue wire...use a jumper wire and touch the heavy red wire to the small blue wire.If it goes up okay... replace that solenoid.<br />DHP

DHP, You were right, I jumped the trim up solenoid and up she went. Great call!! Is that solenoid hard to find? Thanks again.
