I have a 1971 Winner Boat 18' Cudy, The transom had a small crack close to the drain hole. The wood inside it was wet I had a boat shop to fix the crack about year and a half ago. It has recracked but a little worse now. Should it be fixed again or how much trouble is it to have a new transom but in. Before I purchased it someone had put a piece of Alum. 14" x 10" at the engine (Outboard) Thanks Jim

Re: Transom Repair

Big job to do the transom, many man hours if you do it yourself, from 1500 to 3000 at a boat shop.Try the boat building and restoration forum lots of knowledge over there
