Sorry to bother ya'll w/ this one... 25 hp merc, lng shft,elec start, no serial number plate, on the powerhead 872-8379, believe makes it a '85?<br /><br />Hell of a forum you have. Could of saved me a lot of $ over the past 20 years. Glad I found ya'.

Do you have a picture or description of the cowling markings ?<br />An 85 is a Brownband..
