At the suggestion of the local Mech. I bypassed the oil injection pump and unplugged both sensors on my 1987 Merc V 150. Can I leave the pump and sensor in place to act as plugs or do I need to remove them and fabricate gaskets and covers? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Read back through the past 3 or 4 pages of posts. You'll find a great bit of discussion on this topic. Something else you will find is that there are differing ideas about it. Good luck.
