The trigger is a molded part of the distributor body. Most people just get a used distributor.<br /><br />Try an ebay search on: Mercury outboard distributor<br /><br />There's usually a couple up there.<br /><br />BUT - you still gottta do the switchbox test 1st and check / recheck all the wire connections / also check the white wire on the switchbox for +12 DURING the failure. Trigger is last resort after EVERYTHING else is eliminated.<br /><br />-W
