1974 65hp 3cy. Merc

Starts fine with choke engaged,then a little sluggish out of the hole,then kicks into high and runs fine, but after shutting off and sitting for awhile will not start back up. Could this be a coil problem?

sounds like a fuel probablem

i have one just like it and when the coil went bad it just didnt fire strong enough and wouldnt crank easy . when i replaced thacoil it crank just as it turned over .
