spark plug wires for 68 merc. 500

hello, is there a certain type of wire that has to be used to replace my cracked spark spittin ones i have? i have a set of accel wires for a car but wanted to see if i can use them. also how can i get that rotor off? almost seems to be loctited on. thanks

You MUST use solid metallic core wires. Graphite core automotive wires won't work. You can get the proper wire at small engine repair shops. <br />- Scott
