Folks,

I'm looking for some advise before I spend $200 for a new warning module (black box).

I have a continous alarm when igintion is turned on.

I've check the wiring to the alarm horn - no grounds or shorts. Heat sensor is open - the horn continues with the heat sensor to the head disconnected. Horn goes on and off when continous voltage is applied and the ground is interupted.
That means horn itself is ok?

I assume that since the alarm is continous and continues without the sensor connected it must be in the black box?

thanks

Just had the same problem and wound it being the warning module. Mine was $217 though. What I experienced was a constant long beep that would never go off. It even came on with the key on and the motor off.

Check the oil tank and the oil filter for clogs.

Check the cap on the oil tank.

Also make sure that their is no blockages or kinks in the hose, check all of the hoses,it could well be a damaged hose

If the oil tank has ample oil,and after disconnecting the overheat sensor like you said and the alarm still keeps going off it has to be the electronic module.

Ahh! my bad, sorry for the confusion :(

1. If its Beeeeeeeeeeeeep then its the overheat warning.

2. If its Beep!Beep!Beep! then its low oil or oil related.

3. If its Bip!Bip!Bip!Bip! then its a bad warning module.

I hope that helps some :) Cause right now i feel like the darn RoadRunner :D
