1350 inline 6 idle...

Hi folks, just an update on whats happening with my engine. <br /><br />I got it to idle beautifully at around 850rpm out of gear, i popped it into gear and it idled at around 700rpm. Trolling along nice and smooth...<br /><br />I gave it some throttle and it just bogged down, at this point I turned all the idle needles out 3/8 of a turn. It was then absolutley fine when it came to planing away...went like a rocket it did!<br /><br />But wouldn't idle at all and just petered out.<br /><br />Any advice would be great.<br /><br />Thanks for all the help folks, at least its running now lol.<br /><br />Stan

Ussally the dirrerance in idle adjustment in a problem like you had to begin with is not that much richening about an 1/8 to 1/4 will normal do it, use a tach and do the adjustments and go over the 2 or 3 times to get the right adjutment if it ran well original and won't after the adjustment you propable went to far

stan, on my 1150 i had similar probs so i richened the mixture screws just a bit till i had a happy medium.<br /><br />it ended up idling at about 700 in gear in the water and would take off with an evil and wicked hole shot.<br /><br />a tach is absoltuely needed for this
