1992 Mariner 150hp ser# 0D124111
At idle I have the beep-beep-beep alarm going off.
When I put in gear and run about 1500rpm it goes away. Have tried disconnecting the wires at the oil reservoir cap and it made no change. Oil level in reservoir tank is full to the top. Repalced water pump impeller, housing and all components and it runs cool. Oil level in main tank goes down so I am guessing it is pumping oil. Any help is appreciated.

Re: alarm

Try swaping leads at the switchbox (ie. the green wire leading the from the warning module to switchbox).

You'll want to run a 50:1 premix until this is sorted out.

YES try swapping to another switch box!! It worked for me! Green lead from alarm module to a lead going to coil on switchbox

Re: alarm

Thanks for the replies. I will try these things this weekend. When the alarm goes off and the oil level keeps going down I am still getting oil to the motor, is this correct?

Re: alarm

If the oil level is going down it is using oil, or it is leaking somewhere  . Just run a premix until you are positive.
