I have already searched the forums but I just wanted to be sure. I just got this boat/motor and dont know anything about it or have any book on the engine. The tilt trim motor runs both up and down but the pump or something does not work. I was going to add the hydraulic fluid to it to see if that helps but I am not sure what kind. I bought aw-46 from O'Reilly but that is all they had besides tractor fluid. The serial # on my motor is 6515366. It is a 90 hp engine. That is about all I know about it. Thanks for your help in advance.
Daniel

You can get fluid from any Mercury dealer or use automatic transmission fluid.

My '02 maint manual says use auto tranny fluid but didn't say what type. Guess it doesn't matter, and since Ford fluid is a few years out of date, it must be the fluid that GM runs on.

Mark

Daniel,
I have a similar situation. I'm looking for any kind of information on the 90hp Mercury outboard. Have you found any helpful manuals yet?
