Re: impeller replacement
If it's like all the rest, you SHIFT INTO FORWARD GEAR FIRST, then you unbolt it (the lower unit) from the mid section and drop it. Be sure and get ALL the bolts out including looking for one at the front and one at the rear.....besides those along the sides. The ones on the sides are easy to see, IF one in front and/or rear they may be harder....not saying you have front and rear; just check.

The water pump cover is right on top around the drive shaft. Probably 6 screws hold it on. If there is a washer above it (around the drive shaft) don't forget to put it back when finished.

Once the top cover is loose you should be able to work it up and over the top end of the drive shaft. Be easy with the seal around the shaft and maybe apply vaseline to the splines of the shaft so that you don't cut it when removing and reinstalling...or put some tape around it.

The impeller is inside and may come off with it or may stay on the drive shaft. Pay attention to the direction the blades are bent as when you replace it, you need to bend the new blades in the same direction to get it back together....use soapy water, or vaseline, during installation and an extra pair of hands will help.

The pump is eccentric so one side (of the impeller)is compressed more than the other which makes for difficulty in reinstalling the cover.

Pay particular attention to the key that marries the impeller to the crankshaft. Be sure you reinstall it when you go back together otherwise there is noting to turn the impeller when the engine is running and you won't get any water.

That's about it. When you reassemble to the mid section, you have the shift rod, the driveshaft, and the water supply tube to get lined up.

The shift rod should go right back on unless you turned it during disassy. If you did, you will have to play with it to get it lined back up so that the engine and the remote control do the same thing (FNR) at the same time.

The driveshaft is easy as since you had it in forward gear, if you moved the prop during replacement, all you have to do is to rotate the propeller slightly, if necessary, while gently pushing the drive shaft into the socket and when the teeth line up it will slide right in.

What you need to be particularly careful about is the water supply tube. Make sure it is properly seated in the hole, of the midsection, designed to receive it....otherwise when you fire it up you'll get no water and have to break it apart again.

Good luck,

Mark
