Mercury Outboard Pictures

Hello again. I am working on a 1987 Merc Classic 50. I am at a loss, the motor cover will not latch on the front of the motor. It looks like a older cover than what should be on the motor. If anybody knows where I can get a picture of what this motor should look like I would appreciate it. I dont want to run the motor without a cover on it. Thanks again for all the help, Dave.

Is it a two piece or one piece cover?

it is a 2 piece cover. The part in question is kind of like a wrap around part. Thanks for your help. Dave

The late 80's cover should be Grey and Red Bands. Also the wrap cover can be hard to "seat" properly to top and bottom covers making it hard to fully close.
