Any help on this problem will be much appreciated.....the engine is a 60hp Mariner serial no.9502702 3cyl with PTT the PTT part being the problem ..it will trim up fine and down fine until it comes into contact with the 2 damper pistons this is where the PTT motor starts to struggle ..if pressure is applied to the engine it will fully trim down but not without a fight and has on occasion started to lift of its own accord whilst trying to trim it down.....I have checked the oil level..fine ...left the filler cap off for a couple of hours to allow trapped air to escape..none present...tried draining some fluid out ..wont trim properly( was getting desperate by this time and running out of ideas)...If the bleed nut is removed the 2 dampers rams an be fully retracted thses have no pitting or leakage.and finally nothing is physically binding!!! It almost seems like the pressure within the unit can not escape when the leg is trimmed down Is this a viabile option? and if so what is the answer? .......one final thing it will freely trim down if the large override nut is loosened.Again ANY help would be great. Thanks in advance Marco
