I have a 1998 60hp 4 stroke that was overheating and putting out very little water out the weap hole. I changed the impellor still didn't fix it. Any suggestions on what I should do next.

Check it for a sticking thermostat, Erich.

You might also try backflushing the cooling system and hooking up a garden hose to the "engine off" flushing port to see what sort of flow you get if you bypass the pump and engine feed tube.

The '98 model cooled the intake manifold and crankcase before circulating water in the block and head. Those cooling routes were eliminated in the '99 and later models. You might check with your dealer to see if there was an update to convert your '98 to that configuration.

Good luck. :)

Check the pressure relief valve. You need manual to locate the valve, it is located under oil pan on the 50 hp.
