Yamaha 4 stroke 40 horse water in Carburetor

I keep getting water in the Carburetor and dont know how it is getting there, this causes power loss any suggestions?

most likely from the fuel tank. do you ever see any in the filter assy?<br /> the only other way is from submersion and leaking in through the carb bowl vent.<br /> good luck and keep posting

I have not checked the filter assy but i will, i bought a water separator hoping that will fix the problem. Thanks for the post!!
