The show opened at 10am. I got there at 10:15 and drove around for 45 minutes and could not find a space to park - - forget this. I have never seen crowds like this this early on the first day. I did go over to the marina where they have power boats in the water by the Omni. I did find parking but the place was jam packed with people - too many to really see much. There were lines of 30 or so at each refreshment stand.

I may go back early-early Monday - looking for a chart plotter.

Ditto, SoLittle.
Been to many shows in the past, and if I went on a weekday I never had a problem finding parking. Today, I had the same experience as you. I was about to leave when I went by the Golf course on Alton Road and decided to try and park there. It was a good mile walk but I got there. Biggest show attendance wise I've seen, and it's only Friday. Good Luck to those trying to go on the weekend.

We went Thursday, got there at about 10AM and sat in line for almost an hour for parking. You guessed it -- the guy in front of us was the last one they let in. 30 minutes later we stumbled on an old gas station with a fence. Two guys were taking cash and in we went. 3 blocks from the front door. Cool! And yes the truck was still there when we left at 6 PM.

I would suggest that if you go, take advantage of the shuttles. Much less stress. We should have.

Actually it probably would have been OK but they are rebuilding the school that they normally use for parking and all they had was that back field. It fills up pretty quickly.

Oh -- don't forget, Monday is the last day this year. And they shortened the hours too.
