Bought this engine, has been sitting for three years with fuel in engine. Replaced the fuel pump and cleaned out all hoses. Checked the other three pumps on side of engine, new gass, try to refire engine and the only way it will start is add gas to the intake!! Spark is there timing is on the engine only has 34 hours on it!! Been sitting three years what do I do to get engine going?????

hello
test the fuel pressure. also make sure the inlet needle to the vapor seperator is not stuck shut. in other words is the vst full of gas.if you have fuel pressure its time to test the injectors.
post back with the pressure results.

I believe I've read that the High pressure pumps can seize up after prolonged stretches of no use.

Get the manual and read on how you can test the pressure coming off the VST.

Otherwise, if the engine sits awhile, take the cover off, have someone turn the key to the #1 position, and listed to hear if the high pressure pump makes noise. Normally you can hear it build up pressure.
