I've got a 115 HP 4 cyl Susuki that was in storage for a few years. It started right up today, but gas is pouring out of all 4 carbs- it looks like the float is on the bottom of the carb, and there is a short (3/8") nipple coming out of each float, and gas is dripping out of these. I can put my finger over each one and it does not seem to affect running. Looks like there should be a small hose of some sort on these nipples. Should there be hoses? If so, where do they go? Or do I have a different problem? Also, on a different Suzuki I had, there was an oil screen that had to be cleaned to keep oil flow going. Is there a screen on this 115 also? Where is it?

yep what ray said. and the oil alarm is contained in the fitler housing. depends on what year. most I saw since about 86 have a cleanable screen.

OK, so which needles and where are they? Are they adjusted/removed from the front of the carb or are they the large screw on the side? And is the oil screen under the little (1"square) plate at the end of the first oil tube?

OK, so where are the needles and how do I "unstick" them? Also, is the oil screen under the little (1"square) plate at the end of the first oil line?

Re: leaking carbs

hello
the needles are in the carbs. carbs need to be dissasembled, thoughly cleaned, components tested or replaced and reassembled. the oil filter is located in a square plastic housing in the line from the tank bottom to the pump.
sounds like someone could really benifit by the purchase of a service manual and a few reading sessions while eating breakfast :) :) .

Hmmmm
The way he says "fuel is pouring out of all 4 carbs", makes me wonder if whoever put this motor away opened the bowl drains, and never tightened them back down.

You may have hit the nail on the head. Where are these drains and how do I close them? If you look at the side of the carb, it looks like a bowl-shaped bottom with a 1/4" nipple facing aft. Fuel is leaking out of here. (On all 4 carbs!)There is a good-sized brass screw on the side of the carb- is this the bowl drain???

Re: leaking carbs

some of the old mikunis were set up that way. the drain was just a needle. scrw it in but not so tight as to twist them off and try again. the big drain screw is in about the middle of the bowl on the bottom. should have a spring between the head and the bowl.
