oil tank overfilling

My 1988 yam 200 leaks oil out the overflow tube and into the air intake cover. I think it might be the float switch? Could it be the override switch is stuck on?

Common cause on those models was the control module. First check to be sure the cap is on properly and the tank sensor is working correctly.

Hey thanks for the reply. I took the float switch off the other motor and it worked. So problem solved.
