I have a Atwood 6 gallon Model EHM-6 Water heater. When I checked the engine compartment a few months ago. I wiped dry the bilge area, have had some warm weather and I just checked the bilge area this afternoon for first time in months. Water all over the place around the water heater. the only things on the port side of the bilge area are the batteries(removed) and Sealand pump for the head, it looks fine.

Question, how can I check to see if source of the h2o was coming from the heater without cranking up the engine and putting batteries back in?

Did you drain and remove the zink rod from the tank? Thats what I do to RV's anyway. Good luck.

Pressurize water system and look for leaks in fresh water side; if engine is still winterized need to check til it's ready to open up, then open seacock for water to get to heat exchanger to see if it leaks exchange water.
