Mr Ray? Mr Rodbolt?

I have two 225 V-6 Excel motors. Cylinder head casting numbers on one is 6K700. The other is 6K701.<br /> Do either of ya know which heads are correct "excel"?<br /> OR, are they both?

Actually they are both right stamping numbers. Some of the V-6 specials also had the different stamping numbers. I have even CC'ed them and can't find the difference. Some times you just have to ignore some of the stamping numbers. Those heads had a completly different chamber from all of the rest of the Yamaha heads. They were only used on the 220 and 225.<br /> Only Yamaha head you can modify for high compression.
